Thanksgiving

We had an awesome Thanksgiving.  I'm sorry Meghan and Joe couldn't stay for the great feast.  I loved having George and Cathy Rogers, Mike and Sherry, Mark and Marissa and of course Mom, Cali and Kristin.  The food was great, the company even better.

Had a busy, busy day yesterday.  Was too tired last night to write.  I did Mom's laundry, made 2 lasagnas, delivered 1 to Stacie and got to see baby Bailey then came back home and had the other lasagna with Mom, Kristin and Cali...whew!
Today it's BJ's this morning then Kristin has a Dr.'s appointment this afternoon then I'm going over to Ruth's to post our unemployment.
I've decided that when I start cleaning the house I'm going to take off the weekends and do nothing.  I don't want to get too wore out.
I really need to get my whittling on.  I've missed working with my wood.  I still have Christmas presents to finish.

After the time change

I can't believe that I slept in this morning considering the time change.  Then...I took a 2 or so hour nap.  It's tough getting old, lol.  I did wake up feeling like crap this morning.  Very achy and my head felt stuffed.  After the nap I felt great.  So now it's 1250 am and I'm not sleepy.  I'll have to look up why we do a time change anyway, Arizona doesn't.  It is hard to get back to normal after the change.  Plus, it gets dark so early now.

I've got a busy next few days.  I found some freeware online to add to do lists.  I'm hoping I can get more organized because God knows I can't remember a lot of things.

Cali was GiGi's girl today.  She colored next to me and we watched a few YouTube videos.  She's such a precious Gem.

Talked to Berta this afternoon about some Camp things.  We are not having the DMB the first night of Camp and we're asking the LOH to sing that night with Paul Sherwood bringing the message.  If it were up to me the LOH wouldn't be there at all.

Oh, got my Christmas shopping done today!  First time in forever that I have it done so soon.  I ordered Cali a few wood jigsaw puzzles and a stroller.  I ordered Mom a DVD set of trains.  I will have stocking stuffers to do and finish some wood projects that I've started.  Now I can check that off of my stressors before the holidays.

I will almost be glad to start cleaning the house.  Mainly because it really needs it but mostly because I want to get it done.

Early morning

This morning I woke up at 5am.  Who knows why.  Around 5:30am I heard Cali stir and say "Mama, Mama" in her sweet little voice and then heard Kristin say "What honey?" in her sweet voice.  It was precious.  I guess Cali needed some reassurance that Mama was still there, and she got it.
Kristin went to see Stacie and Bailey in the hospital today.  I babysat Cali.  There is a reason that you have babies in your youth.  I'm sore and tired tonight.  That little girl can wear you out.
We turn back the clocks tonight which means we "should" get an extra hour sleep.  Pfffftttt, never seems to work for me.  I always hated working in the Comm. Center in the fall because you had to relive an hour over again.
I've got a pretty busy week coming up this week with a doctor appointment and then watching Cali while Kristin has a couple doctors appointments.  Going over to Ruth's to file her unemployment and mine.  Doing Mom's laundry again this week.  I really need to start working on the house and garage but I do have all winter to do it.  I would like to get the house done before the holidays.
Bishop Anthony Mumford came over this morning.  Their washer is broken and I had told Miss Mary that if they ever needed one I had a spare.  It was good to see him.  Hmmmm...that may be why my shoulders are hurting so much tonight, helping him lift it into his pickup.

A day in the life...

I got my winter clothes out today, finally.  Found this new stuff at the store, Downy crystals.  You put them in with the wash.  Wow!  Love it!  It made my clothes smell so good.  My sheets are smelling good right now and I ought to be between them sleeping but...
I made dinner tonight.  I cut up chicken breasts and potatoes about the same size and sauteed them.  Then I added some of the new stock in packets, pretty salty but still very good.  I also added some drained peas at the end.  Miss Cali liked it, I think.  She ate it anyway.  After not cooking all summer I need to get back in the swing of things.  I want to make some soup or chili soon and probably bake some bread.
It has been so nice to finally be done with work for the season.  It's time to get my house in order for the holidays.  I have a lot of my Christmas shopping done already.  Still debating on getting Cali a swing set.  I have to get Mom something else.  I think I'm going to order her a set of DVDs of trains that she enjoys from the library.
